I have a similar set-up on my Lynx. A properly isolated hybrid intake (in engine bay but isolated from the engine by a box) will not heat soak as quickly as an open filter or even a stock airbox in traffic. Good compromise versus a cold-air intake, which is dangerous to take through floods.
