Hi, newbie here.
Share ko lang yung sa car ko na before ako mag-start ng makina, sometimes may parang umaandar na maingay kahit nakaset pa lang sa ON(II) yung susi ko. I'm sure na iba yung ingay yung during sa Check Engine /Malfunction Indicator LAMP. By the way, my car is a 99 Honda Civic.
Nag-start ito two days ago and I experienced the same problem kanina lang umaga. Nagyayari din sya kahit umaandar yung car ko na may dumadagdag na ingay, o may parang iba pa na umaandar sarado o kahit bukas yata yung aircon ko.
Ano kaya ito? Delikado ba ito? Please help. May outing pa naman kami next week, baka magkaproblema pa kami sa byahe.

una kong naisip ay yung engine fan mo ay gumagana na kahit naka "on" pa lang...
pero sabi mo ay kahit umaandar ang kotse mo ay mas maingay than usual...

baka me ionizer ka or fan na naka-on or yung aircon mo eh off pero naka-on yung fan, so kapag nagsusi ka eh umaandar na agad sya?
baka rin yung sound system mo...grounded or me humming noise.....
ano particularly yung tunog na naririnig mo?

Ano naman kaya yung problem kung engine fan yung nag-on?
Pasensya na, talagang di ako familiar sa ganitong bagay. At least magka-idea ako para di ako maisahan kung sino man ang gagawa.
habang naka OFF pa... buksan mo hood ng kotse mo...
then ibang tao ang maglagay to ON. tingnan mo kung mag turn yung fan malapit sa radiator. dapat hindi mag turn yun kasi patay pa naman ang makina mo.

April 8th, 2005 03:38 PM #12It is possible that two fans will run if you turn on the switch if the following conditions are met.
1) Aircon is on
2) Engine is already warm or hot
The Engine fan should only turn-on if the temperature of coolant is already above the required operating temperature (usually 60 deg C). If your engine fan does not turn-off, it is possible the some auto electrician has by-pass the temperature switch. If this is so your electrical fan is showing signs that it will break down. Have a qualified Honda electrician to revert set-up to original one

o may gremlins don na nakukuryente kapag nag-on ka ng susi.....herherherherher

pag nag oon ako, although yun talaga totally on na sya napagkakamalan ng mga tao na un valve ang maluwag kasi ganun ang tunog. yun pala every time aandar ang aircon (compressor) bah? dun nangagaling ang tunog... pag off ang aircon nawawala ang tunog eh..
share ko lang baka same to ng naeexperience mo...

most probable bet would be the engine/aux fan, this is likely controlled by a temp switch sa ilalim ng radiator. two possible reasons kung bakit nag-oon siya even before you turn on the engine:
1.) if the car is second hand, the temp switch could have previously failed and the electrician of the previous owner simply bypassed the temp switch and connected it directly sa ignition, hence palagi siyang naka-on. imo, there are at least two reasons why this is not recommended: a.) the engine may have a hard time reaching the optimal operating temperature kung even before magstart siya is may fan na agad, b.) the engine/aux fans were not designed to operate continuously, baka umiksi ang lifespan ng motor niyan. replaced one on a previous car ('89 galant) and it cost around 3K.
2.) check your radiator, baka kulang sa water/coolant or may leak. same thing happened with our accord vti-s, and kahit patay na yung engine the fan was still running. kulang pala sa tubig ang radiator (maybe it's the car's way of crying out "uhaw na ko!" hehehe).
update ka lang po ng developments para maka-input pa ibang tsikoteers.

April 12th, 2005 02:32 PM #20Sa ngayon, di lumalabas yung problem. Okay naman yung coolant. Wala namang leak. The car isn't a second hand (bnew nung mabili) and it is maintained naman sa casa. I don't think na may ginalaw sila don. Originally Posted by corbon44

Matagal na ring nakakabit to. Sa ngayon, di pa bumabalik yung problem. Wala pa akong pinapagawa. Di ko pa rin alam sa ngayon kung yung aux fan nga.
