    It's a mazda b6 16valve 1600cc sohc engine.

    Pag binirit past 3000 rpm mausok na eh (grey/white smoke), pumapasok pa nga sa loob ng cabin,. Sabi ng mekaniko replace valve seal daw, may nakita din kasi siyang carbon sludge formation sa muffler eh.

    What do you think mga sir? Valve seal nga ba?

    check you pcv valve first. maybe your oil is too thin for your engine.

    Thanks for the reply sir. I just had my change oil service yesterday using Petron Ultron Touring 20w50 (which is thick enough and probably the thickest multigrade oil available in our market po diba? ..)

    Noted sir, will check on the PCV valve.

    Kumakain ba ng langis? Normally pag galung sa seal ang langis eh pag nag decelerate ka mas malakas ang gray na usok kasi pag sarado intake manifold at singaw ung seal sisipsipin nya ung langis. Isa pa mapapansin mo na ung spark plugs nya nag tututong ng tuyong carbon.

    any history of overheating and over-revving? any signs of engine fluid(coolant/water, oil) combustion?

    Sabi po nung mekaniko kakain nga daw po ng langis yun. Check ko mamaya pag malakas umusok sa deceleration, and the spark plugs as well...

    I just got the car last Friday sir eh, so no idea of the real history kahit no overheat daw sabi nung owner.
    I haven't overrevved it so far.

    Sabi po nung mekaniko kain langis daw (oil combustion).
    Checked the radiator on early morning engine starts and I don't see pink sludges on the top.

    Thanks jick.

    Replacement of the PCV valve, cleaning of the carb and changing to thicker oil (Havoline SF 20W40) solved the problem.

smoke belching at 3000+rpm: replace valve seal?
