IMHO let's wait for the completion of the last phase of the Clean Air Act before we make any judgement. This coming Nov. the sulfur content of our diesels will be reduced.

:sigh:

So as is where is, how much would this low sulfur diesel have an effect in terms of smoke emission test results?

Ingat din sa emmission test centers. I brought mine last Sept and noong nasa testing area na ako for diesel, they had me open my XTO's hood. Titingnan lang daw kung turbo. So I did. Then they told me to pay muna sa cashier and leave my hood open with the engine running. Di ako pumayag. I closed my hood, turned off the engine and locked the doors, then went to the cashier to pay. I dont know pero I had the feeling na may gagalawin sila sa under the hood para bumagsak test ko.

Eto pa ang nakakainis: During the test proper, sabi ko, "Brod, turbo yan kaya wag mo apakan ng bigla at baka masira". Ang loko binigla pa rin. G*g# talaga!!!!!

To hell with them na lang.

ewan ko ibang testing centers pero dito sa banda namin we take it seriously, for the test procedures dapat lang na buksan ang hood to check on the engine/chassis numbers and kung tama ang langis and if there is an air filter, standard operating procedure yan... may karapatan kayong magreklamo kung mali ang procedure na ginawa... malaki kasi ang penalty sa testing center kung may nagawang kasalanan...
