every 5000, 10000kms.?
Ako I use:
Replacement Air Filter - change every 5000km
Original Fuel Filter - Replace every 10 or 15 km
yung sakin kapapalit lang after 40,000 KM! :D
anyway, every 5,000 km it's being cleaned at the casa. pero mukhang bugbog na yung air filter ko when it was replaced.
orig fuel filter, replaced every 10,000 km. cleaned every 5,000 km.
every 10k for mga sedans... cleaning every 5k... sometimes the mechanic tells us not to change it muna...
Air filter is cleaned every 5K or sometimes inbetween if i see its getting dirty... What's nice is that i can tell the difference in my engine sound when the air filter is dirty or not.Replace evry 10K or 15K... a lot depends really on the visual condition and recommendations of the service guy.
On the fuel filter, my service manual says every 20K (depending on the fuel quality and conditions) so thats what i follow. I'd want to change every 10K but the cost of my primary and secondary filters puts a significant dent on my wallet.
i change fuel filter everytime i change oil. 5k. and clean the air filter, i use finer filter racing filters.
Fuel Filter: changed every 10K kms.
Air Filter: cleaned every 2K kms. (lakas humigop ng dusts around the city ng snorkel!) changes on next 10K kms.
ung sa pick-up.
fuel filter - 10,000km
oil filter - 5,000km
air filter - di ko lam
ung sa escape ngayon pa lang malapit na 1st 5,000km nya
primary fuel filter.. every month at most 3 months
secondary fuel filter every 3 months.. at most half a year
air filter.... hmm. nde pa ako nagpapalit since June 2002.. ehehe.. linis lang ng air comp. ehehhe
Same sked as dieseler's. I just use the generic air filters.![]()

every 10K kms.
I just use the VIC japan replacement parts. (its VIC or Mitsu only).
There are 2 types of air filters: dry and wet. The dry type can be cleaned with air while the wet type can be brushed clean since it has an oil which contains the dirt, dust. Some filter manufacturers don't recommend using pressurized air on wet type filters. Think the filter media which is colored white is the dry type while the pink colored ones is wet.
The trooper's (4JX1) air filter is a wet type filter. Either one, i replace air filters at 10k km.
e kung palitan na lang ng racing filter?para linis na lang instead of palit every time?
Ako, I opted for orig isuzu filters for air, oil and fuel.
Sa air, in particular, wala akong mahanap na full rubber on both ends, kadalasan ng nakita ko ay ring lang ang rubber. Yep, pink ang color nito.
Changing to an aftermarket filter does help in replacement costs in the long run... However i'd suggest you save up for a K&N filter and cleaner kit as this will still be better in longevity and filtering quality. Simota's are pretty cheap but they have a lower level of filtering quality and longevity then the K&N filters.
Just keep your stock airbox so if you plan to cahnge cars, you can carry over the K&N as long as you take good care of it.
