i think we had that on our petron station b4, selling side by side with VIC, GINZA etc ok naman
Good to hear that. It's taller than OEM or VIC so I figured that company probably didn't skimp on the quality or materials...
pag mas mataas nag oil filter di ba apektado ang Pumping ng oil? di ba yung pump is based upon air vacuum? pag masmalaki ang vacuum mas mahina ang pumping?
ok naman yan.. it does the job... problem is, its softer than VIC, kaya pag papalitan mo na, usually nagcrumple... kaya medyo hirap minsan tangalin...
Actually this brand is far better than VIC, as VIC has inferior filtration capabilities, you can search in google about VIC filter reviews and you will see a lot of tests about its filtration compared to the other brands, also Nippon Micro is widely use in SG, USA, Australia and etc...
I used that before so far okay naman pero mas better pa rin sakin ang baldwin. much cheaper pa. try it in your next change oil. ;)
Actually Nippon Micro is also O.E. filter Supplier to Toyota & Fuso in Japan domestic market, so they do not skimp on materials or quality.. The reason why Micro is more expensive than Baldwin is that they manufacture their filters in Japan while Baldwin for third world countries like Malaysia or Philippines comes from China just like what Bosch is doing which is why they outsourced their filters depending on the country's market affordability.
Like FIAMM horns which they sell here in the Philippines, they sell the cheapest FIAMM Autotech Co.,ltd.(China FIAMM) made in China models here because most of the people can not afford the ones Made in Italy or Made in USA which is very very expensive.
Yes, Nippon Micro Filter is even better than VIC filters. As Nippon Micro is one of the O.E. supplier to FUSO Japan and Toyota Japan(Some models). The filter material they use is a very high quality Japan made one, they don't import the paper element from other countries. Also Nippon Micro is the choice of rebranding companies like Beck Arnley USA for their filters, The Nippon Micro brand is widely being sold in Australia, Russia, UK, USA(Rebranded Beck Arnley) and etc... while it is also being sold in the Philippines in the Visayas and Mindanao region as a higher quality than VIC, unlike in Luzon and Metro Manila where price is KING and price is the deciding filter for automotive shops in the Visayas and Mindanao Region they let you choose if you want a better quality one or the cheaper one at least you have a choice.

I bought it once and when I cracked it through, I found a second soft spring loaded valve that apparently has no use. Pretty odd.
You mean to say you just bought an oil filter then you cut it open without even using it? When and where did you buy Nippon Micro brand? As far as I know it is only available in the Visayas and Mindanao region as the distributor is in Visayas. Are you a new member here in Tsikot?
As far as I know for my vios oil filter, I asked my uncle to buy 2pcs MICRO filter from Cebu, 1pc I've already used and 1pc for my spare. Since I was curious I cut opened my last spare and so that you can see the photos inside the MICRO filter itself. I also found that it had only one spring loaded bypass valve.
May reseller/shop kaya nito sa Manila area? How much is the price difference vs Vic?[/QUOTE]
