October na so all of the cars basically have undergone smoke emission tests. Butyou can still see cars, motorcycles, trucks, buses, jeeps, taxis, diesel or gas, emitting black, blue or white smoke. Sure, sabi ng iba it is normal to have a puff of smoke especially sa diesel pag galing nila sa full stop. Pero marami pa rin diyan that emits smoke while running.

2nd, I noticed that even if the vehicle passed the smoke test, meron pa rin usok lumalabas. I noticed that with my diesel cars that passed (properly, walang daya). But some other diesels on the same make doesn't emit as much smoke. Is there something wrong with our cut off scores? Is it too high?

Dami kong kakilala na nagbayad for no appearance sa emission test centers. Meron nga akong kilala... but I won't mention it to avoid flames.

As all have assumed before, palagatasan lang ito. Not fully implemented.

hehehe.. kakatawa nga yan. meron akong nakikita minsan sa street na smoke belcher. then i ask myself "papaano kaya yang mga yan nakakalusot sa emissions testing?" but i don't ask myself.. kasi naaalala ko na nagbayad ako ng no appearance :D not because smoke belcher ako, pero because hassle siya eh. what's sauce for the goose, is sauce for the gander.

Well, pare-pareho naman tayong affektado niyang
pollution from fuel emmisions.
Studies have shown that nakaka-bobo
daw ng mga bata ang air pollution. Aside fom that, katakot
The bottomline is, the corruption in the DOTC and LTO
is the main contributor of air pollution.

i think ang mga emmission testing natin measures only how toxic are the exhaust fumes. pwedeng bumagsak sa test ang walang nakikitang usok. so it doesn't mean na kapag maitim ang usok e dapat bagsak na.

IMHO let's wait for the completion of the last phase of the Clean Air Act before we make any judgement. This coming Nov. the sulfur content of our diesels will be reduced.

:sigh:

So as is where is, how much would this low sulfur diesel have an effect in terms of smoke emission test results?

Ingat din sa emmission test centers. I brought mine last Sept and noong nasa testing area na ako for diesel, they had me open my XTO's hood. Titingnan lang daw kung turbo. So I did. Then they told me to pay muna sa cashier and leave my hood open with the engine running. Di ako pumayag. I closed my hood, turned off the engine and locked the doors, then went to the cashier to pay. I dont know pero I had the feeling na may gagalawin sila sa under the hood para bumagsak test ko.

Eto pa ang nakakainis: During the test proper, sabi ko, "Brod, turbo yan kaya wag mo apakan ng bigla at baka masira". Ang loko binigla pa rin. G*g# talaga!!!!!

To hell with them na lang.

ewan ko ibang testing centers pero dito sa banda namin we take it seriously, for the test procedures dapat lang na buksan ang hood to check on the engine/chassis numbers and kung tama ang langis and if there is an air filter, standard operating procedure yan... may karapatan kayong magreklamo kung mali ang procedure na ginawa... malaki kasi ang penalty sa testing center kung may nagawang kasalanan...
