Mga brod. What is really the proper way of closing the engine hood or hatch? Kasi sabi ng iba for the hood:
-let it loose sa ere so pag bagsak sarado na para daw hindi masinga yung ngipin ng lock (I heard this when I was youger sa uncle ko).Hindi ba mas masisira eto pag laging ibinabagsak?
-close it gently na half close tapos push it nalang to close.Pag lagin ganito e di may dent na hung hood. May korteng palad o kamay.
Ganun din sa hatch. Pasensya na mods if may dublicate thread. Pakimerge nalang. Hindi makita e. TIA.

ako binabagsak ko from a height of about 4-6inches, letting the weight of the hood close itself when it falls.

It's in the owners manual - ibagsak mo.
Yung boxtype Pajero namin puro dent sa hood courtesy of former owner who didin't have a clue as to how to slam a hood shut.

thanks guys. Pero pano naman sa likod? Yung hatch? Siguro ganun din. Ibagsak. Sir OTEP.

Di ko binagbagsak, i push the BMW emblem down to close it so di magkakadent yun hood. Yun compartment yun binabagsak ko from about 6 inches.

oh yeah, to add, i don't slam the outlander's rear hatch though. the weight of the hatch itself and the gas struts allow you to just let the hatch drop carefully and yet still engage with the lock properly.
