    I recently had my corolla fully overhauled. Whats the correct way of breaking it in?

    Parang gingawa sa clinic, full inhale full exhale. gradual but solid. Always watch the temperature.
    If you dont apply load hindi gagasgas ang rings against the walls with enough abrassive force.

    first 1000km drive it easy and hit the pedal once in a while pero hwag todo

    and have oil and filter changed

    kung bagong overhaul try going 100mph and remember to change your oil when you reach 1000 ....

    xfreemanx, hi!

    i think the best way to break-in your car is to first, fully warm up your car before driving it soft or hard, oil grade you use must be the the lowest grade allowable in our ambient temp (22-37c) oh and use dino oil not syn. wait for 1000, then 5000 then 10000kms. then use syn oil if you really want it... if it would take 5 to 10 mins to fully warm your engine then it's a must for the first 1000kms.     why use a mineral oil and not synthetic?

    mineral oil allow the valves and rings to seat faster than synthetic oils.

    and also the cost is affected, why use syn when you would use it only for 1000kms then 5000kms then another 5000kms...di sulit, hope this clears up your question, s_quilicot. God bless! henry
