to all diesel engine auto users beware:

along makati ave. towards ayala from makati-mandaluyong bridge, meron naka-stationed na smoke emission testing guys on the road. pinapara lahat ng mga diesel na sasakyan, mapa-public or private, bago o luma.

madalas kasi ako dun dumaan dati during daytime going to work at makati and im from boni,mandaluyong. im taking the makati-mandaluyong bridge. there, nakikita ko ang mga namamara ng diesel vans/trucks (etc.)

i think it's their new racket ng panghuhuli or worse kotong or i dont know. nagtataka lang ako bakit pa may ganito eh nakapagparehistro ka na nga ng sasakyan, so you're free to go. way kaya nito makahuli ng "naglagay" lang at nakaligtas sa LTO? labo yata nito.

please comment guys, at paki update lang kung they still exist until now. di na kasi ako dumadaan dun eh.

I noticed the same thing too when I went to Makati late last week.

Personally I commend the concept of emissions testing but they should expand the locations they tests to include areas used by public utility jeepneys which are one of the worst offenders.

I just wonder if they have some way of remembering which vehicles they have tested recently? ... Show your "clean" ticket?

ay meron pa pala. mga what time po kaw dumaan dun?

im now using a pickup kasi. umiiwas ako dun, not that im guilty, iingat lang na mapagtripan. mostly kasi nakikita ko mga private diesel vehicles eh. malamang, you should present your "clean" ticket other than the vehicle's OR/CR to get away from them.

Who's conducting the emission test? LTO or Makati City personnel? usually hindi marunong mga yan, they pump up your rev to 3500+, talagang babagsak ka. Sabi ko 2500rpm lang dapt, sagot sa akin"its 2500+idle speed", labo noh?

Malabo talaga ang systema ng LTO. Dapat during registration as they are doing now, there is smoke emission test. Kung makapasa, DAPAT SA NEXT REGISTRATION PERIOD ULI SILA MAG-TEST. Hindi yung nakapasa na, test uli sa daan. It's a good source of Kotong.

Kung sabihin ng LTO na hindi pwede dahil baka sobra smoke belcher na ang sasakyan mo after 3 months, talo ang environment natin. Ok, so make it every 6 months, or every 4 months. Ang ayaw lang natin na anytime tayo parahin sa daan tapos kunyari testing pero kotong pala. Dapat tayo magreklamo sa maling patakaran ng LTO.

bakit kasi papayag sila maglagay sa rehistro for emission tapos may magchechek parin pala sa daan? double-kotong scheme na yata un!
ang gulo nga naman ng sistema. they should concentrate nalang sa mga obvious na smoke belcher like PUVs since they are on the road round-the-clock! hindi yun paparahin nalang lahat ng sasakyang diesel. di kaya pakulo rin ito ng makati? sa mandaluyong meron din minsan pero mga PUJs lang nakikita kong tinetest, which is good!
