    Hi all,

Ask ko lang po. What preventive maintenance measures need to be taken after buying a second hand vehicle? I recently acquired po a 94 Vitara.

I've read in some threads regarding tune-ups and change oil na there's a 5K or 10K intervals in between, depending upon the vehicle type and materials used. (I know I should have asked the previous owner pero it's too late! ).

What noticeable things should I observe to identify kung kailangan na nga mag pa tune up and/or oil change (or other maintenance measures necessary).

    TIA!

When I first acquired my 92 Suzuki Vitara, I first changed all the oils - gear, engine, transmission and transfer case , belts, spark plugs fuel filter, oil filter and the timing belt. Transmission oils - 85-90 viscosity (spirax ginagamit ko), engine oil - 10w-40 (Mobil brand ginagamit ko), belts (Bando will do), Timing belt (105 teeth ata - bring a sample - and it costs around P1.5k), spark plugs - NGK BKR6E, fuel filter - sample lang, oil filter - vic wll do. If you need parts - look for Romy - sa Links Banawe (they do have a complete line of parts for your Zuk Vit. PMS BTW is at 10,000 kms. You also need to change the air filter element pala.

*mazingerZ - thanks for the info sir.

Medyo malayo kasi ako sa banawe, I'm from Las Pinas, would it be possible to have all those oil types changed sa gas station service bay?

Basically, change all fluids (oil, transmission, coolant or water, etc.) to be in the safe side. Also include the filters (oil, air, etc.).
