    hello! new owner po ako ng paje 4d56 model 98 release 2003 po sa subic. bago lang din po ako sa mga makina kaya nagbabasa ako ng mga forums hoping to learn more.

    mga tsikoteers may tanong lang po ako kasi ung mechanic po na pinagdalhan ko ng pajero nilagyan ng harang na lata ung diaphragm nia (check pic) instead of just a gasket. sabi nia para daw hindi pasukin ng langis. advisable po ba un or may harmful na result sa engine or turbo?



    dun po sa area n tinuturo ng arrow un sinasabi kong nilagyan ng harang. pls advise thanks..

    kung di ako nagkakamali e diaphragm ng fast idle circuit. yung sakin (we do have the same engine) e talagang may langis na dumadaan pero hindi kalakasan ang flow. kung anuman ang nilagay ng mekaniko mo e he went against the design of the engine. just my opinion. di ba? kamtutink op it. bakit di na lang nilagyan ng mga mitsubishi engineers ng harang dun sa part na yun? nakalimutan? ewan ko n lng.

    oops i was wrong. nsa intake manifold side pala yan. ang naging palatandaan ko e yung wastegate actuator behind sa part na may arrow.
    the one with arrow is your EGR (exhaust gas recirculation). ang purpose nyan is to recirculate toxic oxides of nitrogen to be burned again sa combustion chamber. wala masyado effect nyan sa performance. sa emission test lang good luck pero sa luwag ng testing sa pinas e wla din problem.

    thanks miked! it was indeed the EGR valve (sorry for the wrong name) i did some reading about closing it and you're right wla nga xa effect sa performance ng makina. ginagawa nila un to minimize smoke pero very minimal din lang ung diff nia. about sa emmission test wala pa din ako alam na bumagsak dun eh

    i guess i can really trust my mechanic
