Kahit nga yung kapitbahay namin na taga-Mitsu, recommended yang VIC. May kamahalan nga kasi yung orig na oil filters eh. Masubukan nga yan on my next oil change.

I was shown a demo of racor fuel filter versus vic fuel filter. Vic lets water through, doesn't filter it. 2nd, dirty, murky, cloudy diesel also passes through vic fuel filter. What it filters are big particles, the size of sand. Racor, on the other hand, holds water and not let it through, and cloudy diesel after the 1st pass, slightly improves, and if there is a 2ndary filter, improves significantly, which means it is able to sieve the dirt that is suspended in the diesel. I can talk about diesel, as this was what was tested, not gasoline.

Yes, Vic is a very popular replacement brand, but with that demonstration, I now have doubts to its efficacy.

Check out the above link, its the specifics of the demonstration.

I believe it is priced lower than the original fuel filter, but much higher than a replacement filter. I don't even think original fuel filters are able to filter as well as racor, based on the demonstration and my inquiry with a casa technician. Maski yung taga casa, was surprised and said their filter doesn't do that.

This Racor spin-on filter has piqued my curiosity. Meron din bang oil filters ang Racor?

We use ViC for the Japs in the fleet. The Euro cars use Hengst. No problems for the last 15 years or so.

ay wrong forum pala ako. Yes, I was talking about fuel filters, oil filter pala ang tinatanong dito. I didn't check and I don't know how to distinguish between an orig and a fake vic filter.

We've opened Vic oil filters, parts used are just as good as OE filters and better than the cheap generic brands.
Check out the Vic website for the right Vic part no for your vehicle.

baka depende sa brand ng car.

for my kia pride, ang difference ng OEM kia filter n vic e P20.00 lang. so i'd rather go oem on this
