    Hi mga Sir,

Sorry po newbie lang ako pagdating sa mga car parts... recently nagpa change oil po ako sa Honda Shaw for my 95 Honda Civic Lx na 2nd hand and they found some oil leaks... so pina quote ko po kung mga how much po magagastos ko eto po sabi nila per item

Class A (Needs Immediate Replacement/Safety Related)
    1. Oil Pan Gasket
    2. Crankshaft oil seal frt
    3. Camshaft oil seal fr
    4. Oil pump o-ring
    5. Crankshaft oil seal rr
    6. Nee to overhaul P.S Pump

Sabi po sa akin from number 1-4 is 7k then yung number 5 is 5k and 6 is 5k as well.

Ask ko lang sana if etong price na to is reasonable or ok lang sa iba ko to pagawa na mas less sa price? (Medyo tight sa budget)

Thanks po sa lahat ng sasagot

    Something's wrong with the quotation. Over 17k?? (7k + 5k + 5k)

Yung number 5 (crankshaft oil seal, right rear) is worth 5k?? Jeez, oil seal lang yun!

To compare, I bought 2 timing belts, a set of oil seals and an oil pan gasket for my 97 Accord sa Honda Quezon Ave. Mga 6.6k lang ang damage.

I suggest you get a quotation from a different casa. Taga masyado sa Shaw. Tapos paayos sa Speedyfix and look for Migs (malapit lang sila sa Honda Shaw). Search mo na lang dito for his exact address.

sir...ung oil seals mo sa casa mo kunin kci sa experience ko sa labas ako kumuha eh tumulo agad. papalit mo na ring T-belt kung 2nd hand mo na nakuha para sure ka na hindi ka ibibitin sa biyahe.

Get a quotation from SpeedyFix and compare the parts and scope of work. Base from my observation, I see not just Honda cars but also BMW's being fixed there so maybe they know how to source original parts.

I only go to SpeedyFix for change oil since my car is still new.

If you're near Honda Shaw, +1 to get an estimate from Speedyfix. They can get replacement parts with a little premium pricing lang nga (when I compare prices with auto supply stores after). Oks lang rin, at least less hassle to get the parts yourself.

Else, another option, reco try Honda Q. Ave. - from experience, better orig parts pricing, and repair competence. It may not be perfect, but they showed better competence than Honda Shaw for us.

    Mga Sir,

Nag pa quote ako sa speedyfix... eto po quotation nila

    1. Oil Pan Gasket 1900 labor 800
    2. Crankshaft oil seal frt 500
    3. Camshaft oil seal fr 500
    4. Oil pump o-ring 300 labor 1500 for the cam, crank and o-ring
    5. Crankshaft oil seal rr 1100 labor 2300
    6. Overhaul P.S Pump kit 1500, labor 1200, honda psf 700

Obviously mas mababa sya kesa sa Honda Shaw... ang tanong ko lang po is yung labor po ba talaga is per part? Sencia na po talaga newbie lang talaga. Thanks!

yung no. 5 ibaba transmission kaya mahal ang labor?

Gannon ba ang singilan nila sa labor iba ang labor sa front at iba ang labor sa rear? eh iisang baklasan din naman tapos iba pa ang labor sa oil pan?

I could understand na separate ang no. 6, but nos. 1-5 iisa lang dapat labor cost.

Try to make TAWAD hehehe kausapin mo si Miggs

Yes, the labor is per part and it varies depending on the scope of work.

majorguile, did Speedyfix get to see the car, or you just maybe called and asked how much for each of the repair items as diagnosed by Honda Shaw?

If not, suggest let Speedyfix have a look at the oil leak so that they could give their analysis rin. Baka hindi lahat ng sinabi ng Honda Shaw, ay kailangan palitan.

the estimate was given by email, we haven't seen the car yet.

all i did was itemize the labor, if it's so important na isang labor lang yung work then just add up the individual labor charges and voila, one labor charge

yes, number 5 involves removing the transmission.

Up for this thread mga mga bossing.

My 2007 honda civic fd has an oil leak i went to a honda specialist mechanic somewhere in cavite di ko na bbanggitin yung name, pero dito ko rin sa tsikot.com sila nadiscover.

Anyway, they told me na need ibaba/buksan yung makina para macheck and qouted 15-18k labor fee, hindi pa kasama yung parts and later on may add more cost depending sa makikitang issue.

    Any advice mga bossing?
Currently on a tight budget, im thinking ipa-second opinion para may comparison.

I read somewhere here and on the net baka may minimal parts lang na pwedeng palitan na hindi masyadong mahal ang gagastusin.

    Appreciate any advice TIA!
