From what I know, all diesel engines consume a certain amount of engine oil over a period of time. Nagpachange oil kasi ako last 3000kms. I maintain the dipstick oil level between the min and the max. Nung tiningnan ko yesterday, bumaba ng mga 1mm compared before nung bagong change oil ako. Is this normal considering tumakbo na ako ng 3,000kms from my last oil change? If it is, do i need to put additional oil kahit na within range pa rin ang level?

My ride is 4d56 powered nga pala..normally aspirated

Kayo, ano experience ninyo and how much oil do you add and how often? Pls help me...NAPAPARANOID AKO!!!

First question is when did you check the oils? Kaaandar lang ba ng engine or overnight rest?

One thing I notice when measuring liquids during hot days bumababa ito. Try to measure it at night while the engine is cold and one during mid day. Without adding any oil magbabago sukat.

Or may isa pang possibility na hindi nalamanan ng tamang oil level yung oil filter before placing it in, some oil filters tend to consume atleast half a liter.

Djerms ... take out out the guessing part and have your engine compression tested by a competent talyer. Doc diesel's Betan Calibration can do it for you. They are here at Makati (vito cruz ext.). Believe me, it's worth your while to have your engine tested.
