    Car is civic 96 vtec 185,000km, using 5w-40 synthetic oil and lately i notice after starting theres a "tak tak" na sound and after mmga 30secs or pag nag rev ako mawawala na ito, pag mainitik na makina wala naman, and sa simula ko lang ito na didinig, since due for oil change na nag pa palit ako ng oil pero since wala naman akong mabiling ibang oil ang pinalagay ko ay mineral 20w-50 penzzoil, for 3 days na hindi ko na nadidinig yung ingay na "taktak". sa oil lang kaya yun, hindi gusto ng engine ko ang 5w-40 synthetic at gusto niya ay 20w-50 mineral.

    baka due to the age of your engine. it needs thicker oil.

    The tak-tak-tak that you here during cold starts are due to hydraulic lifters. Most cars are fitted with such HLAs. Nothing to worry about.
