Need Help Engine Overhaul

Guys, I desperately need your advice.

Nag overheat yung kotse ko last week and now kailangan na daw ng top overhaul dahil naghalo na yung tubig at langis. It's a Lancer 95 GLXi and the estimated cost is around Php 29.4K!

-- 5.5K labor overhaul
-- 10.4K replacement of 16 valves (*650 each manipis na daw)
-- 9K for the kit
-- 4.5 for the machine shop

Any idea how much it would cost if I just have the engine replaced? Is it easy to get the same engine to avoid additional cost? Any recommended suppliers?

naghahalo talaga ang oil at 2big pag na putol ang head gasket,dahil nag over heat makina mo pero my time na nakukuha pa pag palitan mo lng head gasket kung ayaw mong malaking gastos,dukot lang.sabay asinta barbula.

Simple lang yan problem mo kaso mahal ang singil sa iyo. As long as your cylinder head is not warped its easy to bring it back to the way it was. You can buy a surplus head but what is wrong about replacing new valves, valve seats and valve guides on your existing head?

If cost is the problem. What I can suggest is buy a set of replacement valves but buy an OEM valve seat and guide(if it needs replacement). Sana balitaan mo kami on your progress. Good Luck!

almost 30K for a top overhaul??? mahal yan pre. try mo yung suggestion nung isa. hanap ka ng surplus head. piliin mo yung ok pa (sama mo trusted mechanic wag yung nagbigay ng estimate sa iyo). then kabit. palit head gasket at timing belt na din.

pre,magaganda lahat ang payo sa iyo para maayos car mo,hindi masamang pag samasamahin mo payo namin. talagang ok kung merong nagpapayo,try mo lng,kaya ako nag member d2 kasi mahilig tayo sa kotse.gud luck

hey.i have the same problem as neverwinter pro 93' honda hatchback.kakabili lang nito last month, 2ndhand. me alam ba kyo na matinong mekaniko/shop kung saan pwede pagawa 2.im in bacoor cavite pde dn malapit sa las pinas.thanks so much!

bro,try mo sa evangalista or sa banawe.. dame dun.. basta pa start mo muna nad muc better if mag sama ka ng kakillala mo na mechanic.. goodluck bro..

ho can you tell kung ok yung surplus head by just looking at it? di mo naman malalaman kung pantay pa yan without the help of a machine shop.

imo, use your old head unless may crack na. that way alam mo you repaired it properly and are not using a head that has been sitting in a junk pile for a long time.

hello would like to ask which machine shop did you ask for the rework and what are the things that would be done with the head just had my diesel head brought to a machine shop along aurora boulevard near the computer malls in gilmore they are charging me 6k just for valve seat valve guide crack test head gasket reface i think they are over charging me and also they are asking me to chage my intake exhaust valve but my valves cost about 150 a piece i dont know if there is a difference with gas and diesel valves but all in all projected cost of the whole thing to have the whole engine probably rebuit would come to about 24k if i change my pistons also

Ok na yan presyo dahil 16 valves ang pinagawa ni NWinter. Kung wala kang mechanic you can sometimes avail the mechanics discount/commission. That is why close ako sa machine shops na pinagagawan ko dahil nakukuha ko yung discount kasi ako din naman ang mechanic ko.

Finally, my engine has to be overhauled. Dukot ang gusto ng "family friend" mechanic ko pero I was the one who opted the overhaul done. Ang labor nya ay 7k lang. Sa mga pyesa po ako nangangailangan ng advises nyo . . .

What is the best non-OEM (aftermarket) overhauling kit for Mitsubishi (or any car brand)?

Gud Day mga Bossing,, I have this van mejo old na ang Toyota TownAce 1998 model, this year lang e nagkaproblema ako kasi nag overheat xa while im Driving NLEX going to SanFernando , nag stop xa then thankfully kahit papano naka uwi naman ako, lately pina check ko xa need for overhaul then nawalan ng Reverse puro forward lang , nai suggest skin is for change engine and tranny, 2c diesel engine automatic , ask ko po mga bossing saan kaya merong mabibilhan ng ganung engine at magkano kya ? Wla kasi akong idea how much the entire engine and tranny ng 2c automatic .. please need info mga Bossing.. Thanks
