October 2nd, 2013 05:07 PM #1Nag adjust po ako ng valve diy lang sa 13t sinunod ko yung sa 3t kasi pareho daw yung specs nun from what ive read on some forums.
.20mm intake
.33mm exhaust
tdc on 1st cyl for first set of valves then rotated 360* to adjust 2nd set
tnx in advance!

October 4th, 2013 01:15 AM #3err... are you sure of your specifications?
and er... are you confident that you did the valves in the correct order? i mean, it's not 1-2-3-4. 1-3-4-2 or something like that is the usual... (i'm a little embarrassed to have asked this question, but ... i have seen it happen once in a while.. naninigurado lang.)
and your last statement is confusing to me... pls try again..Last edited by dr. d; October 4th, 2013 at 01:29 AM.

October 4th, 2013 09:55 AM #4confident naman po mga bossing and following the manual for the valve adjustment order
first set is 1-2 for intake 5-7 for exhaust (1st piston TDC)
2nd set is 3-4 intake; 6-8 exhaust (rotated 360*)
and the engine is 20+ year old na siguro
the last one is for the pushrod "play" when you shake it.. i think the clearance is wider than specs already

October 4th, 2013 11:18 PM #6it is easy to adjust ignition timing by just rotating the distributor, but you have to know exactly what your specs are, and that you are adjusting them accordingly.
read: you need a timing light. adjusting the timing without it is just an emergency procedure, to get your car to the shop that has one.
the pushrod side-to-side movement? i am confident some movement is allowed, and i am not aware if there is a table of allowable lateral tolerance...
Be careful with channels like "China Observer" on YouTube. There is a clear bias in their posts and...
