February 11th, 2014 12:45 PM #1We haven't used our car (Vios 2008 model) in about two months. When I checked, I found out that a mommy cat and her kittens are staying in our engine bay rent-free!
That's alright, until I smelled something funny and discovered that there's cat poop everywhere.
I'm obviously a novice when it comes to cars and maintenance, so here are my dummy questions...
1) The engine smells like burning clutch whenever I let it run idly for at least a minute. What could be causing this stench? Is it the cat poop being "cooked" by the engine's heat?
2) Do Toyota service centers offer anything to clean up cat and rat poop scattered all over the engine bay? Is it called "engine wash", or is it something else entirely?
3) How much should I expect to shell out for the clean-up?
4) What other check-ups should I request for to detect possible damages caused by these "pets"?
Thanks in advance!

1. Yes, its cat poop, urine, fur, and whatever else they "brought" in there.
2. Yes, Toyota does inside and outside detailing plus engine detailing. Other big shops like Ziebart offer them as well. Go to the professionals, they know what to do. Your neighborhood car wash guy may mess-up the engine electronics.
3. No idea, its best to go old school on this and call/canvass for inquiries/prices.
4. Very subjective, bring it to Toyota so they can verify.

On a related note, how to you prevent these pusang gala from turning your garage and garden from being their personal playground.
Wala ang mga ito pag may ilaw na pero pag gabi na, saka lang romo-ronda tapos mag iwan pa ng *** sa entrance gate.
May mabibili bang cat trap? Airsoft kaya? Ano pa kaya?
Nakakainis talaga itong mga pusa na ito, anak pa ng anak at inutil pa yung village maintenance.

Problem ko din cats sa bahay. Most of the times nasa taas ng hood sila natutulog, buti nalang hindi malalim scratches.
Sometimes, dinadala nila sa loob ng engine bay mga kittens. 2 or 3 times nang pagstart ko ng engine sa umaga, may maiipit na isang kuting, pisa!Signature

I spray it sa garage floor entrance, then the floor area palibot sa mga kotse. And dun sa upper portions ng gate mismo.
