    Good afternoon!

I have a 1987 I think Lancer box type which has problems starting. Nag ccrank engine pero di nagffire up. It started one cold morning pagtapos umulan. Simula nun di na nagstart. Tried spraying WD40 sa mga distributor cap and spark plugs para matanggal moisture sakaling magstart. Still wala parin. Then naresearch ko na manual choke pala yung car na to kaya I have no clue para san yung knob sa left side ng dashboard yun pala malaki din tulong nun sa pagstart ng tsikot lalo na pag malamig na umaga. Any more advice kung bakit di magstart yung car? The week before one click ignition lang aandar agad e. Thank you!

This is an old school, electromechanical ignition system. This is good, because each and every component can be checked and repaired, with only basic tools. So, begin checking, sir!
Each component can be the culprit.
In my younger days, we thought of this as fun!
Btw, the choke should not prevent the engine from starting, even if momentarily.... Aggressive stepping on the 'silinyador can overcome malfunctioning choke.

baka contact point type ito madali lang i-check, remove the distributor cap and look closely sa contact point gap, have somebody crank the engine and observe mo kung bumubukas-sara ang contact, check mo din baka may bulutong yung points, pwde mo lihahin ito.
