I came across youtube and saw those Sti Subarus Intercooler with water sprays. some are mist spray, sprinklers, to piss sprays.

anyway, effective ba talaga yang mist spray? even to diesels?

Yes, perfect for turbo equipped vehicles. Put methanol to water and you have a potent charger.

Sa mga cars with intercooler, the colder the air going into the engine is much better.

try doing a search for "devils own" They have what you are looking for. Their kits are available from Speedlab and a few tsikoteers have installed the kits on their rides. So far they seem to be happy.

They had a demo recently, grabe ang lakas ng fortuner sa dyno.

IIRC the STI and EVO use external mist spray on their intercoolers and it does help in getting cooler air to the engine. The ones for diesels such as the one mentioned from Devil's Own is an internal mist spray of water and alcohol. Both will help in lowering the air intake temperature for the engine.

Yup. And when the ice runs out... it's no better than an air-to-air intercooler, though it's supposed to be more efficient, somehow.

The difference with using spray instead of a closed water system, the spray evaporates off of the intercooler, and in the process of evaporating, absorbs much more heat than regular air can.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...
