15W40 if your manual does say that grade maybe valvoline all fleet turbo.
Some auto shops in our place are very fond TOP 1 which is around 370 per liter on fully Synthetic.
Anyone tried this one?
^ ok ba yan? 1st time i've seen that brand around here... if it's even available locally
to be or not to be, that always confuses me!
For use in the Philippines i don't think there would be too much of a differrence between using zic 5w-30 or zic10w-40 l. Both are good i bet that you would be able to notice kun what is in the sump lalo na kun blind test pero that being said as long as you don't loose too much oil pressure 5w-30 would be preferrable.
I used Shell Helix HX7 5w40 semi-synthetic on my old 6th gen Accord (2.3L) before. It is quite good for the price I got them (200 to 250 per liter). I change oil every 4 months or around 5k km. The other oil I use was the Valvoline NextGen 10w40 which I got from Ace Hardware for a 5L container worth 1200.
Still Searching for best value oil. Just found about TOTAL Quartz 7000 10W40 Synt blend. Anybody using that here?
For gasoline application? Look for acea a3/b4 or LL01

yes this is available here in Philippines. It is widely used by dealerships service centers especially here in Pampanga. This is mainly approved and recognized by BMW, AUDI, MB & VOLKSWAGEN. it widely used in Germany, Thailand and in Singapore. It is tested by Mitsubishi, Ford, Hyundai, Kia, Suzuki and Mazda.
If you want to know more of the products, kindly PM me.
There is over a hundred different oils that meet BMW's LL01 and LL04.
Do you really think BMW tests all these oils???
BMW oil spec(for example LL01)has specific requirements so that engine oil companies can make oils that comply to these specs.

as long as the engine oil bottle meets the requirements in your owners manual.

actually viscosity is not exactly stated in the manual 20w50, 15w-40, 10w30 and 5w40 but the auto shop says 10w40 meets these.
aside from the viscosity..
look at the bottle if its got the api ratings for gas or diesel. your vehicle if asean will require at least an api rating.
