    Interesting...

I was thinking after turning off the engine, majority of the oil goes to the oil pan/sump so draining this and refilling it with new oil should have the same effect on start up since the new oil will just flow to the oil sump either way.

    Ano daw reason sa bitog?

To add, you typically pour in new oil through the valve cover filler hole. From there, the oil pretty much soaks the valve train before flowing down the same oil passage ways to the sump.

Though, I tend to disagree with an earlier post that changing mineral oil at shorter intervals is better than using FS oil at longer intervals. As long as the FS oil is replaced at the prescribed interval, it should perform at par or even better than mineral oil.

    Gurus,

P.S. Hindi po nadadala sa Manila yung car, mostly provincial driving lang na yung trapik po ay very minimal lang. Okay lang kaya annual change oil using Shell Helix Ultra Diesel? Thanks po.

It should be fine...especially now that we have euro4 diesel fuels.

    Why the low mileage? Ofw?

Nope. Not an OFW po. Minsan lang po nagagamit yung car since may ibang car pa na nagagamit. Thanks po sa reply.

I wonder why honda uses 5w30 and 5w20 in the Philippines.

Berima probably makes more engines than Honda?

May 0w20 na requirements na ngayon yung mga new engines, kahit na sa warm climate. Exception nalang parati is yung cars sold in middle east

Sharing this to anyone who's thinking of doing engine flushing. Oil based siya unlike the other flushing fluidsimg_4895.jpg

If I am not mistaken, I don't think it is listed in MB 229.3 as stipulated in the bottle

Thanks. I can get this one directly from an importer here in Davao for a really good price at 220-270 per litre. Depending on the variant. The brand also has ester based motor oils but the importer did not bring in the range yet due to price and limited to little demand in Mindanao.

You can sell it sa mga naglalako ng mga newspaper and scrap items and tell him/her that you have leftover engine oils. Binibili din ata nila yan.
