Isuzu Crosswind Engine OIL

Hello po sa lahat... .. I owned an Isuzu Crosswind XUV 2004 model - Diesel...mga 5 yr. old na sya pero almost 30T pa lang mileage niya... Nagpa-change oil ako yesterday & ung nilagay nila Shell Helix Plus na blue....Ok lang ba yun sa mga Diesel engines lalo na sa isuzu crosswind engine...or dapat ung Shell helix diesel plus nilagay.....Ok lng po kaya un, akyat kasi ako sa baguio sa tuesday baka dun pa ako magkaproblem....thanks in advance...

though both are semi synthetics, dapat yung helix diesel plus nilagay. or even the rimula x (black) o yung helix diesel super (yellow) are proven for the 4ja-1.

thanks XTO, pano un nalagyan na ng Shell Helix Plus, & ive been using it na since thursday...Ok lang ba yun or pa drain ko ulit ung langis & change oil ko ulit...wala kaya effect sa engine ko yun ..I called din dun sa shop & the mechanic told me that ok lng daw un kasi synthethic oil naman pwede daw sa gas & diesel engine yun....totoo po ba un??

Im not familiar with shell products. but try checking your helix bottle for the API Rating. if it has an API C rating like API CF, then its no problem for your crosswind. API Sx/Cx ; S stands for gasoline engine, and the C stands for Diesel engines.

I use Castrol Magnatec for my 96 Mitsubishi Strada. Magnatec is semi synthetic usually used for gasoline engines but since its API rating is SM/CF, the CF rating is good enough for my diesel engine

Sa Shell station na oil change yan? Semi synthetic lang yan Helix Plus and ang pang diesel niyan is the Helix Diesel Plus. Not sure kung okay lang ha. but next time mag Helix Diesel Plus ka na (yellow) after 4-5K kms or 6 months.

nga pala re. search function, click mo lang search button on top then type the keyword i.e. crosswind and yun na.

Ok lang yun but I agree with the guys here, change mo to helix diesel plus after 5K. Diesel engine oils have a higher detergent content in them compared to gasoline engine oils. Ok lang naman kahit anong langis ilagay mo basta tama yung API & SAE ratings para sa engine mo. CF 10W40 yata yung helix super. Ang problema lang pag gasoline engine oil ang gamit mo dudumi agad ang makina (due to the lower detergent content). This will be bad for your engine.

BTW the quality/lubricity of an oil has nothing to do with it being mineral or synthetic. You can trust API/SAE ratings but be wary of everything else written on the bottle. I trust my friends and my mechanic more than the label.

ok lang yan bro, yan din gamit ko sa crosswind ko, shell semi syn, kasi nakalagay naman sa label na pang gas at diesel, minsan ang gamit ko ay magnatec, gamit ko ito for almost 1 year na tapos change oil every 5k pa rin, mas magaan kasi takbo ng makina kahit naka 4k na ang natatakbo, not like mineral oil after 2k ang natakbo parang sluggish na ang engine, but i will try for my next change oil ang ENEOS semi syn oil from japan almost same price ng shell/magnatec semi syn

hi all... nag change oil lang ako yesterday. ok ba yung Castrol CRB for AUV and jeepneys and Vic oil filter for my XTO.

May feedback ba kung sino nakagamit na..

i already checked that castrol crb. 20W-40 yan diba? pwede at pasok sa requirement ng manual but konti na lang dagdag mo mag 15W-40 ka na. vic filters are well known replacement basta orig lang so buy only from reputable or suking auto supplies.
