i agree, no need for excessive idling. i'm in the same opinion also that you should idle your car yourself and no need of a turbo timer.

i think if you follow the recommended oil change interval (for mineral/f. synthetic) then you are in the safe side.

Also, avoid changing oil brands and types. Stick to one formulation.

IIRC, i only changed brands once, from motul to redline. And i plan to use redline na from now on.

I use the same synthetic oil for my Fiesta Ecoboost and Forester XT.

With regards to idling, during cold start-ups, I make sure the engine reaches nominal temperature before rolling out. Ford and Subaru uses different indicators to tell you so but Subaru has a boost pressure gauge which Ford does not offer on either Fiesta or Focus.

OT: i started with casa oil for the 1st and 2nd PMS, then switched to RP Oil and used for a bit long, then i tried Delo for a while, switched to Motul CRDI, and now settled with Zix Performance supplied oil so far so good, no issues related to oil used. btw, where to find Redline? Autotech ba? masubukan nga din...
