    hello guys,

    i have a question. how come my idling drops to like 200 rpm while engaged in drive mode? btw, the car is a 95 galant.

    can you recommend a reputable shop where i can have this fixed?

    This is probably the most asked question around these forums.

    As had always been the case, Mitsubishi's are well known for this kind of malfunction. Just have the Idle Air Controller checked.

    have your servo checked. sakit ng galant yan, and most other mitsus.

    one more thing na napansin ko is........pag naka aircon ako......sobrang hirap shang humatak.........would it be related sa dropped idling?

    That's normal for small displacement gas engines. The a/c pump takes its power right out of the crankshaft, thus severly affecting the torque output of the engine.

    well, 2000cc yung car niya so it shouldn't be that much of an issue. related din yan sa servo pare.

    Actually iba ang sistema pag off-idle na ang kotse, hindi na kasali idle circuit dun. Kung hindi kundisyon yung makina, maaring mahina yan humatak, lalo na kung nabibigatan pa sya ng aircon.

    Para sigurado, papagawa mo na lang ang tuneup procedure (EFI to di ba?):
    1. Compression Test
    2. Valve Lash Adjust
    3. Static Timing Set
    4. Air Filter Check/Replace
    (marami pa iba, pero yun ang pinaka-importante, given the symptoms described.)

    Pag sanay ka na sa batak ng kotse (ma 2000cc o 1300cc man), mapi-feel mo pa rin ang konting diprensya ng hatak nito pag naka-on na ang aircon. Yung nga lang, mas konti diprensya kung 2000cc, pero andun pa rin yun.

    Kaya ang pinakamabuti, ipa-tune up na lang para siguradong "tip-top" shape ang makina.

    just got my car tuned-up and changed oil in speedy fix yesterday.
    i just don't have any idea kung nagawa nga lahat nung test na nasabi.......
    ang alam ko lang nagawa yun timing and filter check........yung initial two, ewan ko....hindi ko alam yun actually.

    also had my servo checked..........nakita namin na mejo natunaw yung cover ng IC sa servo...........nung binuksan yung servo.........ok pa naman daw yung gears niya sa loob. sabi baka raw yung IC lang ang may problema........

    may replacement ba nung ic na yun?

    pag napalitan ba yun.........sure na magiging ok na yung idle ko at yung hatak niya?
    parang sakal kasi yung hatak lalo na from stop yung car.
