Thanks dvldoc but the OEM part for the i10 oil filter is 26300-02501 and not 26300-21010. It's not found in the vic filter oem lookup. i heard a lot of i10 owners use the VIC filter as replacement as it had thicker rubber gasket than the OEM but i can't find any reference as to exact VIC filter partcode they used (except somebody mentioned that it was for a honda replacement filter).

That filter will fit exactly, same size, same bypass pressure same thread, filters do not have to be exact as the factory number. That number you gave cannot be cross referenced. I have been doing oil filters for a while. Go with the VIC C-303, it is universal for all HYUNDAI 4cly and 6cly cars with spin on filters.

Thanks a lot dvldoc, i will try this one for my next oil change for my i10 this month. I might as well try it on the rest of my other cars as i'm still using OEM oil filters even on the older cars (4-7 yrs old)...

No problem, That does not apply to the diesel engines of Hyundai they share the same one as the Pajero which has M26 threads.

FYI, the OEM filter is actually decent, VIC's are pretty low on the scale as far as filtration goes. Then again Hyundai won't release the specs of there filters micron efficiency either. Makes you wonder.
