May 24th, 2011 05:16 PM #1Need your opinions mga bros. rpm increases when I shift to neutral(around 1800 to 2000). When the gear is engaged(1st, 2nd and 3rd), rpm is normal around 1000. What should I check or what should I have it cleaned? Thanks in advance.
Vehicle is EK civic 96 vti

Have it checked. 1800-2000RPM is not normal.

May 27th, 2011 09:28 AM #4up ko lang ulit. driving this morning it happened again. When gear is engaged, normal ang rpm but when I shift to neutral, rpm increases(1500). Halfway thru my driving, I turned off the engine and restart, ayun normal na ng konti.
There must be something that keeps the throttle stuck open. I'm suspecting vacuum leak, bad ECTS, bad throttle body seals or general throttle body problems??? Before I take it to the mechanic I want to know how to explain to them baka galawin nila ang di dapat magalaw. Thanks.
*raine - salamat bro, but I guess medyo iba yata ang case ng sasakyan mo bec mine doesn't experience hard starting and the CEL doesn't light up abnormally.
