high idle RPM at engine start

tanun ko lng.. nu kya problem ng car ko - lancer glxi 93

pag start ako, ang taas ng idle nya mga nsa 3K RPM, stay sya dun ng ilang sec then bumababa dahan-dahan hanggang s 1K.

after nun, normal na kahit s trapik or nka-stop.

bagong palit lng ng servo neto.

pag umaga/unang start talagang ganun on most cars kasi wala pa sa operating temp ang makina....

ganyan din kia pride at maxima ko...and take note, carb po mga to...

normal lang yan bro sa mga EFI, lalo na bago pa servo mo. Technically called as FIS (Fast-Idle Speed), counterpart ng 'auto-choke' naman sa mga carbs.

normal lang yun saken before nasa 2k rpm eh, tapos kapag aalis ka na sa umaga
pag gear mo sa 1st kakadyot pa hehehe taas kasi eh hehehe

pede ninyo i-adjust yun cold idle sa carb engine. medyo mataas ata ang 2k pag malamig. sa mga auto na normal idling na 700-800 rpm mga 1k to 1.2k pag cold.

Normal lang iyan bro., pero masyado yatang mataas ang 3T RPM.....

Ipa-adjust mo na lang. Typically between 1.2T to 1.5T RPM ang alam ko....

Ang taas naman ata na it reaches 2k-3k rpm, siguro mga 1.5k rpm okay na though sa diesel since low rpm lang di pa ata umaabot ng 1k during starts eh. Pa adjust mo na lang konti para di masyado matakaw sa gas at ma lessen din ang stress ng engine…. Lalo na cold starting is very important in engine life.

sa gli bigbody nasa mga 1.5k lang. For how long should the Fast Idle Start ba lasts or does is it based on your engine temperature?

a couple of seconds lang dapat mataas. at most 30 seconds.

Normal po Yan saken inde bababa need pa re start everybody can share same as my experience so I have an idea what part need to be replaced

In my car idle on coldstart was 2k high need 2 to3 mins to be restarted the engine to get the normal idle can anyone encountered same as my experience any idea what part to be replaced

Saken sir Minsan NASA 2k stable mga 2to3 minutes mag up and down need pa re start para maging normal idling

Puwede i try,
1. Palit air filter
2. Linis throttle body
3. Linis MAF sensor
4. Check spark plugs or ignition coils

there's this youtube article, about a 2000s altis, that had a high rpm on cold start (2000+ daw), that only gradually went down to sub-1000...
sabi niya, may leak na raw ang intake manifold.
fixing it is the solution, daw.

our 2003 altis, had a high cold start rpm of only 1500...
