Hindi ako sigurado sa tamang sukat ng valve clearance, pero pwede na ang 0.012" intake and exhaust. Try mo si Rion; baka meroon siyang data ng C240.
Check injection pump timing - sa calibration lang po ba magagawa to?
Magagawa ito ng calibration shop or ng marunong na mekaniko.

I'd like to help, but unfortunately I have no data on c240. only c223.
I found an info on google but it's up to you if you are convinced the data given on wiki is true.

December 27th, 2009 11:03 AM #14Sir, yung AUV (C240) ko po eh naglalabas ng maraming white smoke pag average revs..pero pag masyado na pong mataas katulad pag na sa highway na eh napakaitim na po..kaya limitado lang yung tapak ko kasi kinokontrol ko lagi yung buga ng usok ko tuwing nagddrive..
Additional question din po, plano ko po kasi sanang palitan yung C240 ko ng 4JB1T from isuzuphil kaso sa research ko po masyado pong mahal..pwede ko nalang po ba na palitan ang injection pump ko? from Indirect to DI? at pwede rin po ba na palagyan po ng turbo yung C240 q? natatakot lang kasi ako baka bumigay na yung cylinders..meron po ba yung isuzuphil ng mga ganitong parts?
Salamat po ng marami! Pasenxa na sa abala...

December 28th, 2009 05:43 AM #15Basta white smoke nagsusunog ka na ng oil nun. Piston rings na papalitan pag ganun. Ang rings kase ang naghihiwalay ng engine oil mo (sa baba ng piston) at fuel/air mixture mo (sa taas ng piston). Pag gastado na humahalo na ang oil sa pag ignite ng fuel mo. Pero to be sure pa compression test mo. Nawawalan ka na ba ng hatak?
Sa ibang tanong mo wala po akong alam sa diesel engines sensya na.

have your engine compression checked, regardless how tuned or new your fuel injection system is, if the compression is poor, the fuel does not get completely burnt. this can be obtained using the glow plug holes. compare each cylinder readings. also, check that the intake is not restricted of soot and dust or the engine is suffocating. the efficiency of your combustion can be read with a pyrometer at each outlet port of the exhaust manifold. a stroboscopic timing light can be used to set injection timing using the #1 glow plug hole with a timng light adaptor if available or another way of making sure of the ijnection timing is by using a transducer designed to be clipped on to the #1 injection tube and adapted to a stroboscopic timing light ( if available, but doubt shops in metro manila have this).check what you can, start with air induction, compression then the injection static timing

Sir jasper palinis mo muna yung exhaust pipe mo, looks like d mo sya na rerev ng mataas lagi kya marami na carbon deposits given the black smoke. or better lagyan mo ng hose ng tubig yung muffler then water it up, pag puno na pull it out then rev-it para mawala yung deposits. Pag na baby kc ang engine d nakakalabas yung carbon, kaya ako pag nasa NLEX try ko sagad to take out the carbon.
pag ganun pa rin check mo yung airfilter, baka barado kaya hindi maganda yung air-fuel ratio mo. I think pag black smoke, sign din yun ng un-burnt fuel. Too much diesel not enough air. Pag ok yung airfilter... yun lang baka for calibration ka na...

your engine fuel injection system comes in two slightly different versions; 1-mechanical (centrifugal) governor, 2-pneumatic governor. the latter has a diaphragm in a chamber in line with the fuel control rack, check this diaphragm for rips, tears or cuts and also for flexibility

Paano ito nagsimula at kelan? Meroon bang gumalaw ng injection system mo bago ito nangyari?

Pwede ito ma-convert. Pero may kamahalan sa gastos, chaka hindi rin tayo sigurado kung maganda ang magiging resulta.
at pwede rin po ba na palagyan po ng turbo yung C240 q? Hindi ito pwede dahil vacuum controlled ang original injection pump ng C240.
