August 31st, 2011 11:01 AM #1mga tol patulong naman nagoverheat kagabi yung nissan sentra b13 namin(16-valve 1.3) tumatakbo siya ng maayos no bad sound coming from engine no smoke) naalarm lang ako na lagpas na sa red yung temperature gauge ko kaya tinigil ko at humanap ako ng mekaniko, nalaman ko na may tagas pala yung connector sa hose ng radiator ko at kailangan hinangin. after mahinang tumatakbo na sya ng normal, questi...on ko lang mga pre may nasira kaya sa engine ko? what signs should I look out for? kanina umaga I started the engine(1-click start and did the talsik test(ok naman may tumatalsik na konting oil when revved, which is normal for 16-valve 1.3 engines ng nissan because of the sprockets' close promixity to the hole on top of the engine) no usok from the dipstick and no usok from the tailpipe. Engine purring like a kitten. I drove it a bit and the engine still performs the same way it did before the overheat happened.

September 9th, 2011 09:16 AM #4better have the radiator replaced.. kasi baka may hinang na bumigay ulet.. hindi naman basta masisira yan as long as intact yung head gasket.. pag yun bumigay at humalo na tubig sa langis.. overhaul na yan.. yung nissan vanette ng tita ko bumiyahe yun from las pinas to tagaytay and tagaytay to las pinas ng walang tubig sa makina.. kaya pala nasa red zone yung temp gauge na akala namin nasira lang.. pag uwi sa las pinas na namin nalaman na wala palang tubig sa makina kasi may butas sa hose.. ayun hindi naman nasira yung vanette ang tibay din sa overheat
wala kasi kwenta kahit ano pa tollroad yan eh kung sabay-sabay kayou uuwi. Ang lunas talaga jan...
