Our MPV is the Baic m20 m/t. During our 1st pms * 3k kms, they use Nissan GT premium 20w50 api SN. Then nung 2nd & 3rd pms pinalitan nila ng Sportec platinum 10w30 api SL.

Check your owner's manual and see what motor oil it suggests.

Usually ang casa naman nagpapalit ng oil brands not because it's better.

Or dahil magaling mag market yung oil companies.

TS, gumaan ba hatak ng sasakyan mo? from malapot na viscosity 50 to malabnaw na viscosity 30, i guess biglang gaan siguro hatak ng sasakyan mo. ok lang yan, malamang dahil bago pa kaya nilagyan ng mas malapot para sa break in ng mga piyesa.

    Best answer.

The engine type for this vehicle (DM15DL) seems obscure and there aren't many information about it online. In which case, the users' manual would be the best source of info here.

    Bad advice.

You shouldn't rely just by the seat-of-your-pants when choosing motor oils. You should start with what the engine actually requires by reading the manual. The recommended oil viscosity must be used, break-in period or not.

I've read & re-read our manual, I did not find it there, but I will try again.

its TS casa that changes the oil spec not me who advised him to do so. but i agree with you, we refer to our car's manual for recommended oil viscosity.
