Hard starting / Low Rev

Hello,

I'm having an issue with my Honda Civic Lxi 97. Kapag medyo matagal nakatengga, let say 1 day, nagiging hard starting siya. Ang baba nung rev niya sa una tapos unti unti lang tataas. Minsan sa baba nung rev niya ayaw magstart gang maubos battery ko kakastart. Anu kaya problem dun? battery ba or fuel system? Minsan kapag sstart ko then aapakan ko ung gas para tumaas ung rev. Nagsstart naman kaso minsan ayaw talaga lalu kapag gabi. Kagabi nga kinailangan ko pang magpaseries ng battery para magstart lang siya. Di ko alam kung electrical ba o fuel system ung problem, hehe. Any idea on this?

Too many possibilities. To avoid costly guesses and mistakes, have tests done; mechanical-compression test, cam timing synchronization, valve lash test/adjustment, exhaust back pressure test. Electrical-battery age and condition, capacity,-ignition voltage output, spark plug compatibility and condition. Fuel system-pressure and volume, injector spray pattern. Controls-check for diagnostic trouble codes, check data stream. Remember, have tests done before embarking on guesswork. When you have the numerical data on the tests, post them for analysis and recommendation.

sounds like battery problem.. gano katagal na ba yang kotse sayo? anong edad ng baterya?
before embarking on costly tests, try the ff:
1. battery terminals. must be clean and tight.
2. battery condition. Your battery might be dying. have it checked at the battery store. bring the car as well. they will check car's charging ability and battery condition. normally, there is no charge for this.
3. starter. baka kailangan nang pa-ayos.

is your car manual trans? if yes, try push-starting it. if it does easily, then it's probably your battery or your starter..

paki check nalang din sa electrical shop kung maayos pa kumarga ung alternator..

manual ung sakin. haven't tried pushing it kapag hard starting, siguro try ko next time.

last na pacheck ko sa alternator ok pa naman ung pagkarga niya. Actually, gusto ko na talagang palitan ung battery ko kasi meron pa akong problema na tingin ko connected din sa battery. Minsan di nagsstart ung makina ko kapag mainit na ung temperature. Paang diskargado ung battery and mahina ung Redondo.
