remember quattro technology in the 80s? when Audi introduced it it was alien at the WRC. now it is the standard. They now claim that in Europe every second car they sell is diesel...that's why I am wondering if this is a new era...we know that in endurance racing the engine that is more efficient and has higher torque may have the advantage...will we also be hearing less of the noise that emerges from the exhaust note of petrol race cars?
