Guys please help on this. How much would it cost me?

usually normal yan... especially on old cars.. but it wouldnt hurt to check kung ayos pa yung fuel sending unit mo. Or baka grounding lang ang problema nyan.. (or at least these are the things we check out, pag may problema sa fuel gauge ng mbs na luma.)

    Question po sir,
Mahal po ba ang repair nito and kaya po ba ng mga ordinary repair shops ito like servitek and the like?

how big a dip does it do whenever you start rolling from a stop??.. kung gaguhit lang... wala kang dapat ikabahala... as this may only mean na may shift sa diesel level inside your tank and the sending unit is basically intrepreting this "properly".. pero kugn fluctuating sya for like 1/4 ang difference when moving forward and hard braking.. then we might have to look into a possibility na faulty nga ang sending unit. I dunno kung kaya ng servitek.. but i would think so..

When I come to a halt and in idle, ayun babalik sa dati.

At the same time, parang ang bilis maubos ng crudo ko. Dyou think this is related? Do I need to have it replaced? Salamas!

hmm.. napahanap pa ako ng ruler tuloy at tinignan yung 1cm... ehehe...hmm... almost 1/4 ng gauge if you ask me ang galaw ah...

    1) maybe the gauge itself is faulty
    2) maybe the fuel sending itself is the culprit (floater type ba yan?)
3)Yung sa crudo... may not be related.. gaano kabilis maubos?? wala ka naman visible leaks? hows your combustion? (usok sa tambutso?)

IMO lang.. kung ang reading ng fuel tank mo e tama naman at standstill... just live with it na lang...

    HBOY,
Pasado naman ako sa emissions testing last registration. ABout the leaks, mahirap yata matukoy kung meron man.
Nakakainis!!, may ipapaayos nanaman ako.

How much po ba does this repair usually cost? Kung pick-up, does this mean that they have to remove pa the bed to access the fuel tank?

    what car?

a toyota for example, brand new orig FUEL GAUGE SENDING UNIT (FLOATER) costs 1,5++.. i.e, kung floater ang sira mo.

have you tried removing the gauge ang inspecting the screws that holds the FUEL GAUGE meter itself?

    hth.
