Fuel Efficient on 2nd gear?

Hi Experts and Tsikoteers,

Not sure po kung may thread na about dito since wala ako nakita nung nagsearch ako, Anyways paki lock nalang po ng thread if ever mayron nang thread about this pero may question lang po sana ako...

Mas aksayado po ba sa gas ang pag shift into 2nd gear with the speedometer nasa 20 or less 20 lang? I mean for example, Stop and Go traffic pero hindi naman bumper to bumper, So nag GO na ung harap na sasakyan ng lets say mga 2-4 meters, so ako naman, Primera then pagabot ng mga 2k rpm, shift na to 2nd gear, then bigla umabante ung kaharap mo ng mga few meters more, Ang ginagawa ko po kasi is stick ako sa 2nd gear hanggang sa mapalapit po ako ulit sa likod nung car, Mas malakas po ba sa gas ung ganun? or dapat magmenor ako then if needed shift ulit sa primera para umandar? hehe naexplain ko po ba ng maayos?

as long as you keep your engine from lugging, i think its ok.

re: fuel efficiency, IMO wag mo na isipin yun, nasa traffic ka naman,
you waste more gas whether you like it or not.

Sir, imo as long as you don't floor the gas fuel efficiency should be okay. Nasa driving habit din kasi yan. Konting tapak lang sa gas in 1st gear shift na agad sa 2nd gear.

basta papa bagal ka na ok lang naka 2nd gear ka pa rin ,kahit usad langgam pa siya . basta wag lang full stop at ipang aarangkada mo ang segunda.
pwede rin naman ipang arangkada ang segunda kaya lang pwersado ang clutch.

have another question po.. pasensya na newbie lang po sa car as it is my first car po kasi.. not sure if this is the right thread, pero ill ask the question na din.. hehe

ever since kasi I got my fofi, I have been using petron XCS, maganda din naman ang takbo nya, I like the roaring sound of the engine kapag mejo binibirit si fofi around mga 4-5k rpm, then natry ko ung shell na katumbas ng xcs ng petron(forgot the term kasi). nung natry ko un, same din nman ang takbo ni fofi kaso I don't hear the roaring sound much when it hits around 4-5k rpm.. Question is, is the 'roaring' sound normal sa engine natin? or is it bad? kasi compared to shell, the roaring sound sa engine is minimal compared when I am using petron XCS.. I have a ford fiesta 1.4 MT by the way...
