seriously, TS just get back to the old oil and spark plugs. using thinner viscosity oil may not be that good to a 20 year old engine seals..

natawa ako dito may point ka nga sir kasi gumanda nga talaga yung hatak nung pinalitan ko to a thinner oil. ano yung may not be that good to my engine pag thinner oil? ano mangyayari? So change back to old oil kahit pangit ang hatak nun?

since gumanda hatak, na-enjoy mo umapak sa gas pedal so your usual driving style and fc changes too kung old na engine, old na rin mga oil seals. it's a common notion na when you use thinner viscosity oil may tendency magkaleak sa mga oil seals.

actually kakapalit ko lang din ng camshaft and crank shaft oil seals and also yung seals around the spark plug. So mas ok bumalik na lang sa 20w50?

i see, no worries pala at bago mga seals. if you are not comfy sa FC now then you can go back to your old oil in your next oil change.

I'm guessing timing ang may problema.

Pacheck mo sa service centre na kaya mag check/adjust ng ignition.

With that mileage, the timing belt should have been replaced already. If it was not, chances are the timing belt has stretched causing late valve timing or the timing belt has skipped a tooth or two. Verify correct cam timing using a vacuum gauge. The vacuum should be between 17-21 in.Hg. preferably around 21 in.Hg at idle speed.

There is a possibility that the exhaust is partially restricted. The exhaust back pressure should not exceed 1psig measured at the oxygen sensor mounting.
