    guys,

what could be wrong with my fuel indicator? (VTI97) it wont go down past the half point mark! maski na wala ng laman tanke ko ayaw paring bumaba!

could this be electrical? chip/fuse related or may sira na floater ko!

Pag nag full tank ako, uma-akyat naman sya and feeling ko is accurate sya up to the half point mark! pag baba ng gas beyond that, ayaw ng gumalaw ng indicator.

    please help!

hmmm, i remember when i first installed my indiglo on my 95 corolla, the needle on my speedometer stops at 25 mph mark but goes beyond it when i hit the gas, the problem was there was no space between the needle and the screw holding the indiglo gauge, so i have to tighten the screw and thats it.... could be the same problem... other than that, your right, could be the floater...

sounds like a jam in either your floater or the needle itself..

im not really familiar with EKs, and i hardly remember EGs, but if you insist in a DIY checkup, i suggest you look for a portal in your trunk which may be located on top of the tank.

Remove the carpet and inspect. pag meron, open it. You can now inspect the float. goodluck!

yung mga nakikita ko sa detailing shop nasa ilalim ng back seat check mo rin dun.kalasin mo yung screw ng floater tapos check mo kung stuck up na yung floater.

i went to sir chieffy's shop last weekend! confirmed: floater nga ang tama nung tsikot ko! tama si sir fierari, baklas lang upuan sa likod, may lid dun directly on top of the gas tank....

then i passed by banawe to look for surpluss parts.... sobrang mahal pala nun! price ranges from 2300 to 2800. but there's this shop whos offering to repair the WINDING of the floater, kasi sabi nya yun lang daw ang siraing part ng floater assembly! hes charging me 900 for the winding thing and 150 for labor! with 1 month warranty pa! good deal na ba yun?

sir chieffy, were going north this comming holiday, san ba yung sinasabi mong bilihan ng surpluss parts sa APALIT? i'm planning to drop by baka may mas mura dun? can u give me directions how to get there, say comming from angeles city!

    txs!

wag mo na ipa repair yan lokohan lang yun.

    minsan mahal ang surplus.

try buying replacement parts. baka mas mura. ciempre canvass ka tapos hanap ka rin ng magandang quality.

i agree ... the repair may actually put the fuel gauge back to work but if workmanship turned out to be sloppy, merong SAFETY ISSUE sa part na yan
