Sa Hyundai Grand Starex namin na naka DPF sakto lang amoy. Parang maasim na ewan. Pero yung sa Hiace sakit sa ilong

Most probably because of catalytic converter...

Different car manufacturers = different emissions design standard ng engine, different suppliers of catcon, different type of catcon, etc.

Noon, yung Accent ko nagka problema sa injector o-rings. Unang napansin ko smoky fumes sa idle. Di sya sour smelling like before. Pagka ayos ng o-rings, OK na ulit ang amoy. Isa pang napansin ko, sa start-up sa image, di sya sour smelling pero after nag warm up, sour smelling ulit

Di kaya side-effect yan ng EGR-blanking? Pero yung "cooking oil" smell, alam ko yan ang pros ng biodiesel, w/c in our country comes from coconut oil (w/c we also use as cooking oil).

di pa naka blank EGR ko sir. pero sour smelling siya. Any ford/chevy owners there who care to share kung ano amoy ng exhaust ng diesel rides nila. :D hehehe

I remember Mandy Moore in one of her interviews stating that the exhaust of an old Mercedes that she bought eventually,- smelled like "barbecue"..

May leak around 1 of 4 injectors. Faulty o-rings pinalitan. Happened at 15k. May nabasa ako na Euro IV diesel nakaka degrade ng rubber sa old diesel engine kaya di yun advisable. Bago naman kotse ko. Unioil gamit ko nung time na yun. Hawala naman usok kaya lang nagpalit na rin ako to Shell fuel save.
