Erratic idle, hesitation, random stalling HELP please

hunch lang, baka may vacuum leak. check mo vacuum hose, sa may carburettor. baka cracked or may butas. minsan yan ang dahilan ng erratic idling.

before jumping into conclusion, it is wise to check the obvious first. check the ignition timing, check the engine vacuum and check your fluids and levels. if you could put the information into numbers, you are sure after confirming with specs , then you will have a proper diagnosis

Dagdag sa mga sinabi sa itaas.

Check ang terminal ng capacitor sa distributor. Nangyari dati sa old corona wagon ko, maluwag lang ang terminal. Bukod sa carburator ang suspetsa ko ay may air leak or baradong vacuum hose, palitan lahat ng hoses dahil mura lang naman ito.

Check ang butas sa throat ng carburator (yung kino control ng idle screw) baka may bara. Minsan yung filter dyan sa inlet ng karburador nasisira then ang maliit na wire nasama sa gas eventually nag settle doon sa maliit na butas for idle screw. Pag nakatapak sa gas ok ang andar pero pag bitiwan erratic till engine stop. This happened to my old wagon.

also check your pcv valve. it might be sticking or the spring inside it is broken or too weak

experienced d same problem on 3 family cars -a 78 lancer, a corolla xl and a mazda power van. exactly same symptoms. i had the carb overhauled. turned out the plunger has a tear on it or the jets are clogged.

Maraming salamat po sa lahat ng nagbigay ng opinyon! I brought it to a different mechanic kanina, Contact points inside distributor wasnt making full contact lang pala, okay na uli manakbo.. Muntik na palang maloko, yun 1st mechanic na naglagay ng contact points all of a sudden "napadaan" sa bahay ko then recommend na palitan ko ng ignitor and brake booster un car ko dahil sa problem na yan! Buti na lang nag 2nd opinion ako. Salamat!!

Hindi pala makina mo ang may problema kundi ang mekanikong polpol.
