i experienced nanaman na ayaw mag start ng car ko.. my car is civic esi 95 AT.. then i checked the battery using a tester ok naman.. then i checked un spark plug ko 2 & 3 are wet with oil,, then everytime na nag start na ay may nakikita ko spark sa ibabaw ng engine ko malapit sa takip ng spark plug 4.. ano po ba ito??? ito po ba cause ng hard starting??

Answering your questions:
1)Spark somewhere along the line of sparkplug 4 - malamang may crack ang hi tension wire mo. Don't worry mura lang ang hi-tension wire.
2) Sparkplugs wet with oil - best case scenario - valve seals lang. worst case scenario - nasa death bed na engine mo - full overhaul na. Both require a significant amount of cash - minimum of P6k to a max of P20k IMHO

February 6th, 2011 12:37 AM #3actually sir kaka pa overhaul lng ng engine ko last august 2010.. nakakaasar nga bakit nagkakaproblema parin.. ayoko naman na ibalik don dahil parang pinagpraktisan lang yon car ko.. nagsisisi tlga ako, nagtiwala agad ako dahil kakilala naman ng friend ko..nkailan balik na kasi to don tapos bawat ibabalik may panibagong nakikitang sira..
about sa spark during starting,, dito po un nag sspark sa parang turnilyo, at may oil leak din kaunti dito..

February 7th, 2011 10:34 PM #4Maaring wet ang plugs dahil ung high voltage eh di sa spark plug pumupunta kundi sa ground. Palitan mo na ang HT wires saka mo tingnan kung aayos ang starting. Pag napalitan mo na at ganun pa din. mag post ka lang ulit dito.

Yung sakin share ko lang...
kelangan ko na pa top overhaul ang engine ko.... ae101.. toyota corolla 1992. mausaok na rin then heto nag kis kis ako ng spark plug..
Pwede pa ba gamitin to after ko makiskis at matanggal mga carbon? sa march pa kasi ako mag kaka budget at di ko na muna ginagamit yung car hanggat di ko pa napapa ayus...

Pag namalyo nag mi missfire na talaga ang spark plugs mo.

February 25th, 2011 04:59 PM #9Pa-compression test mo muna bago mo isipin ang top overhaul.Pwede kasing valve seals lang ang problema.Subukan mong gumamit ng mas malapot na langis halimbawa shell 20w-50 para mabawasan ang usok at ng magamit mo pa ng mas matagal.Di mo kailangang igarahe kong yan lang ang problema.

car: toyota corolla xe 95, 2e carb.
last week i had a problem nung pag start ko sa umaga sobrang baba ng menor nasa 200-300 lang , so i adjusted it para magamit ko, pero nang makatakbo na ko after 10 mins and uminit na umabot na sa 1200 ung rpm
so pina check ko sa mekaniko and nakita basa ung body ng spark plug pero hindi naman umabot sa tip, so we replaced spark plug (denso spark plugs)
ok naman for the past few days pero today ganun ulit nanagyari.
this happens every friday, di ko kasi nagagmit yung kotse every thurs. kasi coding. sabi ng mechanic baka daw pumping oil na so kailangan na siyang dukutin.
any inputs mga sir?
