Gud day mga bossing ask ko lang kng totoo ba na pwede pa maitaas ang hp ng 4afe? May nakausap kasi ako one time na I change ko lng daw yung tranny, camshaft at headers ay magkakaroon ng significant rise
Di ko pa kasi kaya afford ang change engine ( 4age 20v ) 74k aabutin ang namention nya damage.
Since pang daily ko naman yung oto at least a significant rise on hp would be nice.
Decide kasi ako na magfocus na lang mag up ng engine performance kaysa magpakabit ng vert door lol ( yung wife ko ang may gusto non hehe ganda day tignan ).
Any ideas and suggestions would be highly appreciated.

Btw eyeing to start this costly project around early january since kelangan konpa gamitin si MAX ( name oto ko hehe ) daily dahil maulan pa.at least by jan I can use my bike to work xp.

September 17th, 2014 08:38 PM #3Hanap ka c160 tranny - ito yung six speed. Need mo din ng 6 speed shifter. Or C56 tranny - 5 speed tranny ito pero close gear ratio at mas mataas final drive. Kung naka stage1 (Intake-Headers-Exhaust) kana, need mo ng AFC (air and fuel controller) para mamaximize yung mods mo at tuner siyempre.
Pero at the end of the day, hindi ka pa din aabot sa 4age. Pero mas malakas ka sa ibang 4afe
Mas mainam na ipon mode then change engine na lang
Or hanap ka ng complete 4age head with harness at complete sensors. Bolt on ito sa 4afe block. No need to process change engine sa car registration. Pero bihira nag bebenta nito, kadalasan buong engine talaga.

September 18th, 2014 09:31 PM #4Modifying a stock 4AFE is not a PRACTICAL option.Bka ung bearings naman ang magka problema.Nearly 20 years old na 4afe mo,bka kumatok lang yan.Tama ung cnabi ni sir INNOVA2013,ipon nlng muna.since 4afe kse,gagastos ka ng mas malaki pag i modify kesa engine swap(4AGE/3SGE/4EFTE).Mejo mataas ung quotation sau.Engine swap cost 15k-20k.tapos Silver Top na 4AGE,30k-35k.Meron pa 40k Black Top w/o tranny.Or ung 2 liter 3rd gen na 3SGE.Instant 170+hp.Tapos,benta mo ung 4afe para bawas sa magagastos mo.forget about the Vertical Doors.

* pdspd correct ka it isnt practical money wise kaya ipon muna =( there goesmy pet project lol..gunning for an engine swapp instead 4age 20v type ko naturally aspirated ky maganda daw fuel consumption I think plus kung totoo e magamit ko pa yung stock tranny ko dahil fit daw sya less gastos s tranny I guess.kaya siguro malaki qoute e siguro ksam yung tranny elec work tuning etc etc not sure min idea sa engine swap e pero baka yun nga yun plus I know now need ko rin palit brakes so bk ksm yun agin not sure..

September 20th, 2014 11:19 PM #6Pwede gamitin ung old tranny ng 4afe sa 4age 20v.Pag silver top w/o tranny kasama engine swap,mga 40t lng aabutin.wala mashado problema sa pag salpak kse gli body ka nman.kya bolt on lng yan.pati sa harness,socket lng ang papalitan.2 days,kaya yan.kya un nlng pag ipunan mo.sakto mo mga march.

My take on the issue...
Kung daily driver use lang naman...
Intake-Headers-Exhaust (IHE) nalang gawin mo. Then change to hi-tension wires/iridium spark plugs/racing distributor. Lastly, better brake pads/shoes.
Ibang usapan na pag pang race/track use
This is what I did to my brothers car (1992 nissan sentra) before niya binawi saken. Pag daddy driving mode, kita mo talaga yng dagdag tipid sa consumption (nag +3 kms/liter sa normal city driving, +7 sa highway). Pag race mode ka naman, ramdam mo yng push to the seat experience (and of course, greater laklak sa consumption).
