February 19th, 2011 03:29 PM #2It is best to take it to a reputable shop that specializes hondas so they can scan for trouble codes.Maybe theres a vacuum leak, faulty sensor, exhaust leak or a dirty injector/injectors.Worst could be too much carbon buildup within combustion chambers.

February 22nd, 2011 02:02 PM #3My guess is you have a faulty knock sensor or worse a spun bearing.

February 24th, 2011 02:37 PM #5THats not a faulty knock sensor as it went away during winter.Knocking should be there no matter whats the temperature outside. Its not advisable to just guess on what part is causing the problem.Let it be scanned for trouble code.

February 25th, 2011 04:22 PM #8The MAF sensor is probably faulty.Try cleaning it by spraying electronic spray cleaner. You can watch it in youtube on how to do it.If problem still exist, then it is more advisable to bring it to a shop as they have the right tool to do the job.

February 26th, 2011 12:09 AM #10The oil you use for the filter might be the culprit.Original air filter is still best to use for EFI engines as it can trap dirt better than free flowing filters. It doesnt need oil treatment hence no oil contamination to MAP or MAF sensors.A lot of issues with the use of aftermarket tuning air filters.
