    hi guys,

    baka na-encounter nyo na, ito symptoms:

    1. with the aircon turned on
    - idling is erratic, bumababa
    - hirap ang hatak when accelerating
    - after depressing the accelerator, idle goes down na halos mamatayan na ako ng makina and there is a clicking sound na parang sinisinok ang makina
    - every now and then, meron yung clicking like above (feeling ko pag nag-engage na ulit yung sa aircon)
    - there is this soft whistling sound coming from the aircon vent

    2. with the aircon turned off
    - idling is normal
    - hatak is normal
    - no clicking sound
    - no whistling sound

    malamig naman ang aircon. dinala ko na kay mang mario nung saturday, sabi niya hindi daw aircon problem. i notice na yung clicking sound after depressing the accelerator comes from the compressor, merong parang plate dun (magnetic clutch ba tawag dun?) na parang nag-stuck. i showed him this. i tried lubricating it with a little wd40, to no avail. sabi niya, sa idle up daw po. kailangan itaas yung idling. tama po ba? kung sa idling edi dapat even with aircon turned off, may problem pa rin?

    sorry, hindi ako masyadong marunong sa cars. btw, my car's a civic 98 M/T

    erratic idling while the A/C is on hmmm....

    sounds like an idle switch control valve problem.

    sir, na experience ko yan sa una kong esi. i have a few things that you may need to check :

    1. fuel pump, possible n baka my build up ka dun. kaya sinisinok sya. (to ngpasakit ng ulo ko sa 6g galant nmin dati)

    2. intake and throttle body, lalo n yng servo, (this happened with my 2nd esi na) replaced the servo and

    3. alternator, yng s'kin kse nadamay to nung ngloko yng servo

    4. engine block- bka patay o may leak yng isang cylinder which causes loss of compression, hopefully hindi ito sakit ng oto mo pro u can check. pg bumababa din idle mo pg nililiko steering wheel, mrn kng leak. (nangyari to sa unang esi ko, ngpalit ako piston rings ok na pro eventually ngpalit n din ako ng block kse may crack pla yng isang cylinder, sbi ng mekaniko pwede dw cylinder sleeve pro i decided to have it replaced n lng)

    which side nga pla galing yng whistling sound? pg driver side it may just be the alternator working overtime dahil yng clicking is from the compressor mo which will turn on more frequently pra masustain nya yng minimal temperature ng aircon mo.

    hindi mo sya mraramdaman pg patay aircon kse wlang additional load ng compressor sa makina.

    I would have the idle-up checked first as advised by Mang Mario. This is the easiest and least costly to replace. The idle-up raises the engine idle speed whenever the aircon is turned on. If this device is broken, you will experience lower than normal engine idle speed and consequent problematic acceleration.

    I also have the same problem w/ my engine. (Sentra 1991 super saloon 1.6)
    1. When I accelerate hard, there's a ringing sound in the engine.
    2. When I lift my feed of the pedal, namamatayan ako as the engine loses rpm. I have to press the accelerator pedal pa while braking.
    3. Hard starting in the morning. Have to press the accelerator pedal to start.

    Any ideas? Mechanic just adjusted my idle up. He says to observe it for a week. Pag bumalik problema, I have to change my computer box raw...(mahal)...

    8 times out of 10 nakukuha yung problem by cleaning the intake manifold, throttle and iacv. bring it over... we can try to fix it

    kapag di nakuha sa linis ng throttle body, malamang sensor ang sira nyan. ang gnagawa kc ng ECU ay to take control of the idle speed lalo na kpg naka aircon... sana lang hndi modified tsikot mo..
