i saw one mechanic put diesel in coke 1 liter bottle that serve as tank for gun spray (compressor). gaya ng ginagamit ng mga pintor. after draining the oil, spray the engine with diesel, ma flash na yung oil.

pag gas powered ang engine mo mas ok gumamit ka na lang ng diesel oil for a week or two then change oil ulit, mataas kasi ang detergent ng diesel oil, ganyan ginawa ko on both of my cars after ko mabili 2nd hand, effective for me kasi wala kang makikitang sludge sa rocker arms assembly after ko mag palit ng VC gasket...

Re. using diesel fuel as an engine flush, I remember lowslowbenz explaining this before... have to dig it out though.

If you change oil regularly though, there is no need to flush.

Unfortunately, if your engine already has sludge, the only way to remove it completely is to manually clean it by opening up the engine aka ovehaul. Other than that you run the risk of clogging the internal oil paths in the engine by the sudden release of all that gunk.

If you’re not willing to do that then may I suggest the procedure which I used in my vehicle with some alterations. Get a good oil with good detergency. In my case, I used Top 1 SDO and Mag 1 All Fleet. Then shorten the interval of change oil to 1,000 then 2,500. After that I used a good and tested engine cleaning oil additive. I used seafoam. But I heard that Autorx is also good. Then change oil 1,000 and 2,500 and 5,000 intervals. After completing it, make sure to have your oil pan and oil strainer (if your car is equipped with one) cleaned. You can also add 2t to your fuel to clean your injectors and fuel lines.

I use diesel fuel to flush old oil and sludge out (if there are any). I buy a gallon of diesel, drain the old oil, and load in the diesel. Do not remove the old oil filter just yet. Determine that the diesel inside your engine has reached (at least) the minimum level on your oil dipstick. Then let it idle for around 15 mins or so, para umikot ang diesel sa oil galleries, DO NOT REV!

Drain overnight, and remove your old oil filter. Kinabukasan, pour in fresh oil, and screw in a new filter.

Disclaimer: This is what I do, as part of good maintenance habits. You may, or you may not opt to do this procedure, for whatever reason.

No, drain the old oil first, BUT do not remove the old filter yet.

This is just the way to free the sludge and gunk in there. But for me, I'll use a high detergent diesel engine oil constantly for short OCIs, say 3,000 kms, 3 to 4 times, until I'm satisfied that my engine is gunk free. Alam naman natin na sludge does not develop in so short a time, so it also takes time to dissolve it.

I change oil DIY only. Drain the oil in a clean pan while it is still warm so it flows easily. Leave it dripping for an hour or two, I come back just when the oil filter is already cold to be removed by hand, install a new filter, tightening it by hand only, the drain plug by a wrench siempre. Wipe all the mess, put the old oil in a jug with tight cap for proper disposal, pour the new oil, start the engine, let it run for 10 minutes, turn off, check for leaks and also the oil level. That's it! Wala na kung ano-ano pa flushing, waste of money. Besides, you can not clean thoroughly what you can not see!

Pero flush with regular oil.

This actually makes sense. Diesel is not advisable to use as flushing agent as it deforms, softens & bulges rubber seals. As long as you change our oil regularly, flushing is not needed. Sludge forms usually in engines that do not undergo regular oil change intervals

Well, as long as the change oil regimen is done as specified (i.e. every 5,000kms), there is no need to use an engine flush really.
