Ecu Replacement?

Hello Bros;

Just wondering kung saan makakabili ng 4AGE ECU in Manila. Im in Davao and I have an AE92 equipped with a 4AGE. Mine is okey but Im just wondering where to buy an ECU - new or old for my car. I just want the other ECU as a standby part.

Related question - Is it possible to use other ECU from other car brands tapos i-apply to the 4AGE?

hey bro, too bad Im out here in the US coz I have access on 4AGE spare parts. also, you cant use a diff. ECU from other car brands but you can get an ECU from a diff. Toyota Model as long as it has a 4AGE (wether its from a car w/ a Manual tranny or Automatic) and also, it has to be from the same engine generation (4AGE 16 valve = 16 valve ECU / 4AGE 20 valve = 20 valve ECU).

also, what kind of 4AGE do you have?? 16 valve or 20 valve?? also, is it a Red, Blue, Black or Silver top??

dami nyan sa banawe. if you have a contact here in manila, ask him/her to look for an ECU. try mo tumawag sa autobuff 02-7111372. mejo pricey sila pero my experience with them is that sariwa naman yung parts na binibigay nila. ask din for a warranty.

KBR; mine is a 1600/16valve. red color letterings sa taas black naman sa baba, this is what the previous owner said. but now naka buff lahat so no more colors na. all around silver na all-over.

non-vtec; thax for the tip ill call autobuff. i presume all the ECUs their selling are surplus? corek ba? do suggest more 4AGE parts sources you can recommend. here in davao kasi medyo mahirap mag source out ng mga parts lalo na for imported engines. Sa mechanical parts na hindi engine related walang problema may mga gumagawa kasi rito.

oh, I see. so naka 4AGE "Red Top" (High-Comp) 16 valve ka. anywayz, hopefully makakita ka ng ECU na galing sa AE92 Corolla GT-S, FX-16 GT-S or from a 1st Gen MR-2. also, make sure na hindi galing sa 4AGZE (supercharged) ang ECU kasi hindi yun mag wo-work.
