what oil does it use and ano filter?

for a 1 year old engine oil, na nasa engine na bihira pa gamitin, maruming marumi na yan, imo.
how many kms by the way yung bihirang pagkagamit ng sasakyan sir?

sa unang tingin, mukang walang coolant na halo kasi itim na itim, supposed to be pag may
    nahalo coolant, brownish ang kulay.

any other reason why overhaul? change oil and see how it performs. kahit 1yr ang conventional oil and itim na itim with low mileage it. doesnt necessarily mean overhaul agad.

Do you have check engine light on? What is the odometer reading? Why not oil change kahit pinaka mura just to get clean oil?

imho, i think the worst thing can happen is for you to change the seals... baka kasi tumigas na.

Yes. Bakit hindi baklasin mo muna ang oil pan tapos linisin yung kaya malinis doon. then baklas valve cover then linis ang kayang linisin sa valve cover.

Then pour some cheap oil plus engine flush. Change oil filter (cheap one may be at this point).
Run the engine for a few kilometer or idle for a some time. Then drain again. Kaya ok lang cheap oil filters kasi drain naman agad.
Then fill again with oil and change oil filter also. As you use it daily, observe the oil color sa dipstick. You might change oil again sooner since it looks like sludge is heavy.

Have your car checked with a consult maybe theres a malfunctioning sensor

This what we call sludge. Old oil becomes like this inside our engines. Best is to clean everything first. Flush your engine make sure everything is clean and fill it with new oil and start it.use the car and observe it before going for an overhaul

Please change your engine oil at 5k kms or 6months whichever comes first. Irregardless of what kind of oil you use.

Kung mineral based oil every 5k. Pero synthetics every 10k talaga. Yung iba nga dito umaabot ng 15k, but with the benefit of lab viscosity testing. I wouldn't do this myself. It is just comforting to know that modern oils are capable of maintaining their viscosity over a longer period, hence protecting the engine.

Based on experience sir saka turo nang uncle ko na head nang maintenance sa isang malaking construction firm.

    1. Let your engine breathe. Meaning do not top up to full. Ex. My engine requires 3.2liters of oil sa manual. I only put in 3liters. Been doing that since 2007 when i learned of this. No issues until now my engine runs great!

    2. Change oil religiously at 5k kms or 6months whichever comes first.irregardless of the kind of oil. Our climate here and driving conditions are extreme. The life blood of any engine is the oil. Microscopic dust we cannot see with the naked eye are all in our engines. They suck these pollutants/dust in the air through the intake. No matter how good your air filter still plenty gets through it. Snythetic oils are far superior than mineral oils but still it will get dirty. Dirty oils in our engine turns with the engines internals. When the piston rings, bearings and other rotating parts do their job the pollutants in the oil acts like abrasives running in between the internal parts of our engine. Just take a little but of used oils between your fingers and try to feel the abrasives when you rub it against your other finger and just imagine what it will do to your engine moving parts when you drive. Goin 100's or rpm to thousands.

The mineral oils and synthetic oils are both good though the latter is better. You can actually feel the difference when you jump from mineral to synthetic but as long as you change both at the same schedule your engine will be just fine!
