Difference between steel & plastic fuel filters

Kung metal ang original na nakalagay, metal din ipalit mo. Kung plastic, plastic. Replacement metal is around 300 for my Lancer EFI. Plastic for the carb engines is around 50 lang. At that price I can change filters every year.

kapag barado ang fuel filter, especially plastic type. ang effect sinisinok ang sasakyan. pagdating sa 3rd gear pataas lalo.. i mean hindi ka makaarangkada. it happens sa amin yan ng pauwi kami sa manila galing pangasinan

ganito rin problem ko. parang me konti nginig pag arangkada, pero pag nag high rev ka nawawala.

Yup, choose what is similar to OEM.

Filter changes are usually every 20,000km. I spend around 4K for my filters on the Frontier (2 OEM metal canisters).

OMG! Ganyan ba talaga kamahal mga OEM filters? Mga replacements kase is around 200-300 lang, metal na yun.

Mahal talaga OEM. Oil filters 240 compared to 190. Air filters 1.5k ++ compared to 300. Fuel filters 1.5k compared to 300. Replacement na lang then replace more often.

This is the case usually with the OEM filters for diesel engines.

I checked my receipts, nagkamali ako ng kaunti sa unang post: I spend around 3K for the OEM fuel filters and another 1K for the OEM air cleaner. I was able to cut a bit though by going for replacement Japan air filters (who seem to be the same supplier for OEM anyway based on the appearance of the items/box).

Ang metal sa metal fuel filters ay yung casing lang. Mga chipipay n 200 petot replacement yung material na ginamit sa loob ay papel lang. Sa tingin mu ba nakakafilter talaga ang papel? Baka malusaw pa yun. Pagkaalam ko iba ang material na ginagamit sa oem fuel filter. Pagkaalam ko plastic na filter clear pra sa gasolina lamang.
