as per your instructions, i revved the engine several times and engine cuts off i.e. shut down (twice) after releasing the throttle quickly. but if i release the throttle slowly, no jerking of the engine. Your idle rpm may have been set too low. It should be at approx 750 - 800 rpm.

at idle speed, i can see an "air pocket" that is not moving in the clear hose. but when i rev it at high rpms, stream of bubbles (air) start to flow. what's the problem then? You have a vacuum leak somewhere between your fuel tank and fuel filter.

should i replace the priming pump as well as the filter? This depends upon the result of your troubleshooting procedure. Only you can decide on this.

even with numerous pumping of the priming pump, no fuel flows at the air bleed screw. yet it starts easily as long as i preheat the cylinder on cold mornings. just this engine cutting off at high rpms. If the air leak has been corrected and the engine still cuts off.......it's time to have your injection pump checked.

plus there's this leak (for more than 2 years now) at the fuel adjustment screw (if i'm not mistaken). the "screw" or "whatever that part is" which is below the boost compensator. the injection pump is i think VE41 as per numerous search on the internet. i know it's not the only one but it says diesel kiki on the side. would this leak problem get me stranded at the side of the road in the near future? i hope not. I don't know. I wouldn't risk using this car until the leaks are corrected. You have two leak points: one on the suction side, and another on the pressure side (injection pump housing)

not sure sir.. wala po akong back ground sa pagiging mekaniko. nagpupunta lang po ako sa mga talyer na malapit sa amin para magtanong kung para saan at pano gawin ang isang bagay. pag sa tingin kong di ko kaya o parang plug and play nag search ako sa internet for videos at pictures para sure. pag maselan na... hanap na po ako ng mekaniko. so far wala pa naman matinding problema si lucy.

I bought a second hand innova late 05 model d4d. Ang problem is mahina yung hatak nya. Maayos naman yung clutch. Nagpalit na din ako ng air filter and fuel filter. Minsan may times na Malakas Ang hatak Nya lalo na during at night. Nag visit na din ako sa shop nyo and nakausap ko si sir jake. And he told me na may kelangan na ireplace or rebuild yung injectors ng innova. Hindi kaya pwede

Minsan may times na Malakas Ang hatak Nya lalo na during at night. Nag visit na din ako sa shop nyo and nakausap ko si sir jake. And he told me na may kelangan na ireplace or rebuild yung injectors ng innova. Hindi kaya pwedeng malinis lang yung injectors? mejo tight din kase yung budget ko. nag try din ako mag palit ng fuel from unleaded diesel to v power. and nag improve naman sya. but still hindi enough yung arangkada nya lalo na sa second gear. i hope you can help me.

Sir Diesel dude. thanks for the quick reply. yes na scan na and wala naman nakitang error. nagpalit na din ako ng fuel and air filters. dun ko na din pinakabit sa central diesel. bumili ko ng filters sa toyota balintawak as sir jake recommendation.

Best thing to do is to pull down the injectors and perform an output flow test to make sure that this is cause of your low power complaint.
