    top is from ford ecosport

    left, honda city

right, suzuki jimny. bago pa oil so it's not dark

city and jimny produce brown hues. but the ecosport always makes it reddish i've tried different brands of oil, they all eventually become reddish

in case anyone is wondering. the ecosport's oil always starts out amber colored just like when you pour it out from the jug. then over time it gets reddish. always been like this since brand-new.

    anyone's got any explanations?

My civic also has reddish used oil but I never wondered about it until you posted it now. I thought it was normal because I change it every 7k kms or less. I was expecting black but I think that's for diesels.

my dad used to own a 96 civic vti. i distinctly remember reddish used oil came out of it. ang gamit namin noon ac delco oil. never had any problem with the engine even after 8years when we sold it. did not think much about that tinge.
